Position Summary
True North Ale Company is offering the role of Facility Manager & Canning Lead to be involved in all facets of upkeep and improvements of both our brewery and taproom operations. This employee will work under the Chief of Brewery Operations and will primarily concentrate on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing equipment when necessary, and operation and upkeep of the canning line. Secondary duties include assisting in the ongoing improvement of facility safety and efficiency, assisting with warehouse organization, occasional loading and unloading of trucks, and maintaining a safe and clean brewing facility. Applicants for this position should expect to work a minimum of 40 hours per week; certain times may require exceeding 12 hours per day and/or 5 days per week in accordance with the company needs. Applicants must also reside within a 30 minute drive from the facility in order to quickly respond to off-hours emergencies. Benefits are offered and compensation will be determined based on experience and abilities.

- HVAC systems
- Hydraulic systems
- Motor vehicle maintenance
- Computers and programming
- Knowledge and passion with respect to the brewing process is preferred; or demonstrated aptitude to respond to training
- Forklift certification / experience is preferred
- Previous brewery or other commercial beverage production is a plus
- High School diploma or GED graduate
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must have a valid Driver's License
Working Conditions
- Operate in hot, cold, loud, and/or wet environments
- Working in tight spaces and/or at significant heights
- Inconsistent work schedule, including overtime, in accordance with company needs
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to stand for the entire shift, up to 12 hours
- Consistently lift and carry 55 lbs
- Stoop, kneel, bend in confined spaces where required
- Consistently able to use repetitive hand and wrist motion
