Taproom Policies

IDs

True North Ales will check for your valid 21+ ID before we sell you beer! Massachusetts ID, US Military ID, and US Passport are considered valid. Other IDs will require a second form of identification: another government-issued photo ID or a name matching credit/debit card. We reserve the right to refuse IDs that cannot be properly validated by our staff.

Children

Children are welcome in the taproom or on our patio as long as they are accompanied by their parents at all times. Parents, for safety and respect to other guests, please keep your kids seated at your table. Children are not allowed to sit at the bar.

Pets

Per Massachusetts law, with the exception of service dogs, pets are not allowed inside our taproom. However, friendly pets are welcome on the patio, as long as they are short-leashed and accompanied by their human at all times.

No Smoking

The use of tobacco products is not permitted anywhere in True North Ale Company facilities and outdoor areas.

Beverages

No alcoholic beverages of any kind can be brought into our taproom from outside our facility.

We do not allow filled growlers and howlers, or canned beers sold for take-away, to be consumed on premise.

TV

We have three large HDTVs in the Taproom. Expect to see them turned on when Boston’s professional sports teams are playing and for major sports events.

Private Functions

True North Ales is a great place for your group to gather together to celebrate a special event. Smaller groups are welcome in our Taproom, where we may be able to reserve a table for you.

We also love to host private events. In the spring of 2019 we opened our event space, The North Side, to accommodate events of all sizes.

We are equally happy to provide our fine beers at an off-site location. Two tap trucks are available for rental.

Please contact events@TrueNorthAles.com for details.
