Collaboration with Zumi's Espresso of Ipswich, MA
Brewed with Pacific Northwest pale ale and crystal malts, German Vienna malt, and fermented with American ale yeast to provide a clean base beer. This beer was judiciously hopped with four varietals: Simcoe for burnt orange citrus, Cascade for classic grapefruit, Mosaic for blueberry/fruity notes, and Ekuanot for tangerine and green bell pepper. The goal was to allow malt, hops, and Ethiopian single origin cold brew coffee sourced from Zumi's to meld. The resulting blend offers flavors that emphasize the lemon acidity, nutty, berry, and soft cocoa flavors and aromas of this wonderful coffee.
